Culinary tour or Gastronomic tour is a trip made to destinations where the local food are the main motivating factors for travel. This tour is recommended by the schoool for the students not only because it is an academic requirements, but to taste their specialties in their places or in their regions and to inform us on how it is started, how it is cooked, the step by step procedures, and the ingredients,(e.g. burquillos).

Our meeting place is at Burger King Timog branch, where we have to register to Sir Jeff, after the registration we took our breakfast, and then they gave us the tour pack. The first photo are my former classmates at certificate in culinary arts course(nico, melessa, and bianca),and on the 2nd and 3rd photos are my classmates in mastery of sauces batch 5(ron,raissa,maila, and silvestre).

Our 1st stop is at Rosalie's Bibingka at Sta. Rita Bulacan, where you can find bibngka, puto, leche flan and other filipino delicacies.the interesting part here is the suman that they gave to us as a give away for the students which is topped with pinipig.

Our 2nd stop is at Lugaw ni Abel, located at Malolos,Bulacan, they are serving a wide variety of laman ng lugaw, isaw, utak, mata ng baka, goto and lugaw w/egg.I tried the lugaw with utak and tokwa.

Beside lugaw ni abel has a church and visited it for a couple of minutes, took pictures of the black nazarene.

Our next stop for lunch is at Bale Capampangan at  San Fernando Pampanga, which they offer lunch and dinner buffet. They are serving the  fried crablets,kare-kare,sinigang na kambing, and the famous buro of pampanga, and many more dishes to choose from. After our lunch the management headed by Sir Mel and SirJeff presented our certificate of attendance.

Our 4th stop is at Burquillos ng Apung Sta. Rita located at the busy streets of Sta. Rita Pampanga. The owner told us  that they are making this for burquillos generations. They also shared to us the ingredients
of the product, and one of the students tried to cook the burquillos.

After our short stop at burquillos factory,we visited Kabigting's halo halo at Marquee Mall, where we enjoyed eating the favorite filipino dessert of all time, the halo halo.It is a dessert composed of shaved ice, boiled and sweetened beans, milk, cream of corn.

Our last stop is at Apag Marangle which means (Hain sa Bukid),it is very different to the other restaurant that we visited on that day, because of the nipa hut that is connected to a fish pond, and they serve the food in a clay pot, local frying pans are used for serving the food, you have to eat the food in your bare hands.the most interesting dish is the camaru(mole crickets),betute a deep fried stuffed frog, sizzling balut, and the putcherong bulig (mudfish in tomato sauce with banana and petchay).

After the tasteful dinner, students ride the bus,and we think that this is our last stop, but Sir Mel announced that we will be having a visit to Partyland,a place that we could enjoy, dance listen to the band.

I am very thankful to my Skd family, that i have given a chance to participate in this event.
